School Hours K-8

  • For the 2024-25 school year, the hours at Alton Central School are 7:45 AM - 2:50 PM, Monday - Friday. Students will be marked Tardy after 7:50 AM.

  • Before school:

    • Teachers are on duty at 7:30 AM

    • Students may be dropped off AFTER 7:30AM

  • After school:

    • Teachers are on duty until 3:15 PM

    • Appointments are suggested, as teachers also have professional development activities, committee meetings, and student meetings during this time

    • All teachers are in staff meetings after school on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Mondays of the month.

PreSchool Hours

  • Preschool is in session: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

  • AM session 7:45AM-10:40AM

  • PM session 12:05PM-2:50PM

  • Preschool is not in session on Wednesdays

Early Release

  • Please see the School Calendar for Early Release dates.

  • Students will be dismissed at 12:30pm.

  • Students will be served lunch.
